ABOUT ME

Mary DeLan is a singer, actress, and dancer from Fleetwood, PA, who has been performing for as long as she can remember. She has over fifteen years of experience in the performing arts, and she has been in countless musicals, concerts, plays, and cabarets. Most recently she has entertained audiences as Maureen in Rent, Clara in Passion, Fiona in Shrek, and Velma Von Tussle in Hairspray. In addition, you also could have found her playing Elizabeth Proctor in The Crucible, or Benvolio in Romeo and Juliet. 

 

Mary recently graduated from the performing arts conservatory, AMDA ( The American Musical and Dramatic Academy), with a BFA in Musical Theatre. Mary also received extensive training at The Walnut Street Theatre, DeSales University, Steel River Playhouse, Center Stage Music Studios, and The Hill School. Additionally, she has worked with incredible instructors and directors such as Thomas James O’Leary, Donna Drake, Keith Andrews, James Ludwig, and Chris McGriff. She has received rigorous training in dance and acting, and furthermore, has studied operatic, pop, classical, and musical theatre vocal technique. Mary has also trained in stage combat and plays the piano and guitar.

 

Mary performed at the “Comeback Cabaret” at Don’t Tell Mama, singing “Someone Like You” from Jekyll and Hyde. She also volunteered and performed in the 10th Annual Back to School Carnival at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, where she dressed up as various Disney Princesses and sang many of the favorite classics. Mary has always dreamed of becoming a performer since she was a little girl because she has always loved the idea of entertaining others and making them happy. She believes that theatre is truly magical because it has the power to move audiences from all across the world and has the ability to change lives. If she could change someone’s life, even for just a moment, she feels that she has accomplished her goal as an artist. In her free time, Mary enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and pets. Her favorite places she has ventured to are Maui, Hawaii and Paris, France because she has a deep love for the ocean and aquatic life and enjoys practicing her French speaking skills!
